Men’s 40–46 on a women’s SKU. The “Size chart” popup opens the wrong grid. The block sits on the product template, so every PDP inherited it. All products felt faster. Returns started citing the men’s row.
Shopify table selected products only is Selected products only on Size chart, Specs, and Comparison. The product rule applies on product pages. On collection or page templates, behaviour follows the block and the theme’s visibility helpers.
Docs: Enable, visibility, and products. Related build work: groups and modules. This article is where the table may render, not how you stack rows.
Themes attach blocks to templates. Default product = every product on that template. A Size chart block there is global until the app filters.
Native workaround: a metafield of HTML per product. Paste errors. Drift.
You can split men’s / women’s templates. You still cannot run three enabled Size charts, each on its own product set, without three templates.
Tabbed and Us vs Them are picked in the block (which table). Enable still has to be on. They do not use the same All/Selected control.
All products for everything. One men’s table. Unisex hoodie gets EU 40–46.
Three templates forever. Each new fit is a new template or a SKU left on default.
Disable instead of select. A disabled table renders nowhere, block included. That is Enable, not Selected.
The actual path: Enable on, Selected products only, those SKUs, block on the PDP.
OO - Advanced Table Builder is Free. Listing 5.0 (1 review). Size charts, specs, comparison, tabbed, Us vs Them. AI draft from a description or screenshot. CTA stays this listing (`tables-specs-comparisons`).
Settings:
Enabled — off means no render, including auto-placement and shortcode.
Product visibility (Size chart, Specs, Comparison): All products or Selected products only.
Selected rules: on product pages. Other templates: block / visibility helpers.
Internal description: admin only.
All = wherever placement applies. Selected = those PDPs. A collection Compare block follows the block; it does not reuse the Size chart’s selected list automatically.
Specs do not auto-inject next to Add to cart. Size charts can (embed, above ATC if no block). Put a men’s chart on Selected or the embed will inject it on women’s.
Several Size charts: each enabled, each Selected on the right set. Unisex SKU: every relevant table’s Selected list includes that product or a grid goes missing.
Two Size charts (or three). Shopify-backed modules for measurements so values stay live.
Install OO - Advanced Table Builder.
Men’s table: Enable on. Selected: men’s collection plus the hoodie.
Women’s: Enable on. Selected: women’s collection plus the hoodie.
Theme editor, product template: Size chart block. Embed on for SKUs without a block.
Test men’s SKU → men’s grid only. Women’s → women’s. Hoodie → both, or one if you measure unisex differently.
Collection template: Compare is another type. Size chart Selected does not drive that page.
Wrong chart on unisex: the SKU was not in Selected. Not “AI invented columns.”
A shortcode `[oo-table id=…]` on a page does not invent PDP selection. The table must be Enabled. Selected-product rules apply on product pages; a brand story page follows the block. Dropping a men’s chart shortcode on an about page is a page template, not “men’s SKUs only.”
Size-chart auto-placement (app embed) sits above Add to cart when no block is present. Selected still applies on that PDP. All products plus embed puts the men’s chart on women’s even without a block. Specs have no ATC inject; place a block.
Listing import/export (Excel / Sheets) does not replace Selected. After a duplicate/import, re-check Enable and visibility.
Comparison tables: Selected on the PDP controls whether that product may show the compare table or button. Add to compare on collection cards is a different placement (block or inject). “This SKU may show the men’s chart” is not “this SKU is in the compare tray.” Us vs Them and Tabbed: pick the table in the block; Enable on. No All/Selected switch like Size chart.
Multilingual: translate trigger copy per locale in Settings. Selected does not change. A DE market with the same men’s SKUs keeps the same product set; only the word “Size chart” moves.
Listing — Free.
Keep Enable, visibility, and products open beside the table.
Enable on. Use All only if every PDP should share the grid.
Otherwise Selected. Add unisex on purpose.
Test product, collection, page. Shortcode `[oo-table id=…]` still needs Enabled.
An internal description (“not on kids”) is not a storefront filter. Selected is.
Kids’ sizes as a third table follow the same pattern: Enable, Selected on the kids collection, not All. If a unisex hoodie should show kids + adult, add the hoodie to both Selected lists. Do not rely on the theme template name; the app list is the source of truth.
Shopify table selected products only is Selected on the PDP. Enable is still the master switch. All products is how the wrong size chart ships. Tabbed and Us vs Them are chosen in the block; Size chart, Specs, and Comparison filter by product.
Set Selected in OO - Advanced Table Builder. The hoodie shares the grids you pick. The women’s SKU never sees the men’s row.
